Samsung C&T wins $630 million order to build solar power facilities in Qatar
Local builder Samsung C&T won an 800 billion won ($630 million) deal to build solar power facilities with power generation capacity of 875 megawatts in Qatar, the company said Wednesday. Samsung C&T will carry out the project for state-run energy company QatarEnergy alone. It will construct two facilities in Mesaieed and Ras Laffan.

POSCO International campaigns in Uzbekistan for Busan's expo bid
POSCO International, the trading arm of POSCO Group, has promoted Busan's bid to host the World Expo 2030 to Uzbekistan, sponsoring an operatic performance of the classic Korean romance tale “Chunhyangjeon” in Tashkent on Aug. 21, the company said, Monday. The event was planned to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Uzbekistan the day before.
