Premier Mark McGowan will travel to South Korea and Japan to reaffirm the state's long-standing relationships in North East Asia and promote opportunities for investment, tourism, study and business, according to the state government of Western Australia.
The mission, the premier's second official visit to both countries, will help promote trade and investment in a range of sectors, including medical research and biotech, space, defense and agriculture, with a focus on renewable energy, critical minerals and downstream processing, it said.
He will arrive in South Korea, on Jan. 29 to attend discussions with key government and business partners. He will meet with officials from Korean companies, including Hyundai Motor, KOGAS, Hyundai Steel, and POSCO.
