Nongshim launches winter edition of 'bibimmyeon'

Nongshim has launched a winter edition of its popular brand for "bibimmyeon" (a Korean spicy noodle dish served cold) to appeal to its instant noodle consumers.

The latest version of Baehongdong Bibimmyeon features honey powder as a signature topping. The instant noodle giant said the ingredient not only enhances the sweet flavor of the spicy noodles but also adds a visually appealing touch, resembling snowfall.

A Nongshim official said that the choice of honey powder was a strategic decision aligned with a growing trend among Korean food manufacturers to incorporate honey as an ingredient. The official added that the honey powder topping creates a unique blend of sweet and sour flavors in the company’s latest bibimmyeon offering.

The fourth Winter Edition of Baehongdong Bibimmyeon, available in limited quantities, follows its predecessors, which featured toppings such as cheese and bean powder.
