Cosmax Q2 net profit up 28.9% to $25.76 mil.

Cosmax on Monday reported its second-quarter net profit of 35.3 billion won ($25.76 million), up 28.9 percent from a year earlier.

The company said in a regulatory filing that operating income for the April-June period rose 1.4 percent on-year to 46.7 billion won. Sales increased 15.1 percent to 551.5 billion won.

The earnings met market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 35.3 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency. (Yonhap)
