Dental scanner solution provider Medit appoints new CEO

Medit, a global maker of dental 3D scanners, appointed Ryu Han as its new CEO, the company announced Thursday. He is expected to lead Medit into robust growth as a key player in transforming the dental industry.

Ryu has over 30 years of senior management experience in global companies in the medical device and health care sectors, and is well-known for leading strategic growth and innovation in global enterprises.

Since 2023, he has led Medit North America, driving growth in the North American market. As Medit’s chief growth & strategy officer, he restructured global sales and marketing and oversaw new product launches.

Medit develops and produces dental and industrial 3D scanners and related software based on 3D measurement technology, developed entirely with Korea’s own technology. Since starting with industrial 3D scanners in 2000, Medit has successfully launched new products, including 3D model scanners and CAD/CAM solutions for the dental field and intraoral scanners, gaining recognition for its expertise in domestic and international markets.

The company also has won several awards, including the RedDot Design Award and IDEA Design Award.

With Ryu's global management leadership, strategic vision development and achievement and expertise in driving innovation and growth, Medit is expected to focus more on customer-centered innovation, enhance strategic partnerships and strengthen new product development.
