Hyundai Motor released a video, Wednesday, promoting Busan's bid to host the World Expo 2030.
The short video titled "Busan is Ready" features people from 17 member countries of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), an intergovernmental organization in charge of overseeing and regulating World Expos.
The Enquiry Mission led by BIE Administration and Budget Committee President Patrick Specht is visiting this week to assess Korea's viability and feasibility to host the high-profile international event.
People from the U.S., Greece, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Uruguay and Zimbabwe gave short testimonials on why they think Busan should be the venue for the event for six months in 2030.
The video follows last week's release titled "Busan Citizens Invite You All," in which residents of the southern port city share their high hopes and vision for hosting the Expo. The video is available in 15 languages used by BIE member countries.
The foreign nationals share their experiences staying in Busan and make comments, including "People in Busan always welcome foreigners," "The city is full of future-oriented green high-tech infrastructure" and "The city leads innovation."
Also released earlier in the day, according to Hyundai, were 17 60-second clips in which people of various nationalities speak in their native language on the efforts promoting Busan's bid to host the World Expo.
The Korean car manufacturer will continue the promotion campaign throughout this week using both online and offline platforms.
Hyundai said the video clips will help reach a wider global audience, because the people giving comments have all lived in Korea for at least a few years.
"Those featured in the videos have lived in Korea's major cities, including Busan, for many years," a Hyundai Motor official said. "Their authentic experiences will help reach out to many in a friendlier manner."
The eight-member mission will return to Paris from Incheon International Airport, Friday.
