K-pop boy band NCT's Jaehyun has personally apologized for his night out in Itaewon with fellow K-pop stars amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
케이팝 아이돌그룹 NCT의 재현이 코로나19 대유행 속에 다른 아이돌 스타들과 이태원에서 논 것에 대해 개인적으로 사과했다.
The singer uploaded a hand-written apology on his social media, Tuesday, saying "I'm sorry to cause trouble with my actions in this hard time."
화요일 NCT의 재현은 "모두가 힘든 시기에 저의 행동으로 인해 많은 분들께 심려를 끼쳐서 죄송합니다"라고 말하는 자필 사과문을 자신의 소셜미디어에 올렸다.
Adding that he deeply regretted his "reckless" visit, he said, "I will be more careful and considerate of my actions in future."
이어 자신의 '안일하게 생각한' 이태원 방문을 깊이 반성하고 있다며 "앞으로 행동 하나하나 신중히 생각하고 주의하도록 하겠습니다"라고 말했다.
A local news outlet reported on Monday that the artist ― along with BTS's Jungkook, Seventeen's Mingyu, and Astro's Cha Eun-woo ― visited a restaurant and two bars in Itaewon on April 25. The country was under social distancing until May 5.
월요일 국내의 한 언론사가 NCT의 재현이 지난달 25일 BTS의 정국, 세븐틴의 민규, 아스트로의 차은우와 함께 이태원의 한 식당과 두 술집에 방문했다고 보도했다. 한국은 사회적 거리두기를 이달 5일까지 시행했다.
The singers soon were subject to enormous criticism as Itaewon is the site of a cluster infection that led to the country's coronavirus resurgence early this month.
이태원이 이달 초 국내 코로나바이러스 2차 유행을 이끈 집단감염 발생지인 만큼 해당 가수들은 엄청난 비난의 대상이 됐다.
The singers' agencies released a statement soon after the report, confirming their visit. The agencies pointed out that the artists had visited the neighborhood a week before the initial cluster infection occurred and were tested negative for the virus.
해당 가수들의 소속사는 보도 직후 성명을 통해 이들의 이태원 방문이 사실임을 밝혔다. 이들의 소속사는 해당 아티스트들이 집단감염 발생 1주 전에 이태원을 방문했고, 코로나바이러스에 음성 판정을 받았다고 주장했다."
Jungkook deeply reflects his conduct and that he did not comply with social distancing sincerely," BTS's agency Big Hit Entertainment said.
BTS의 소속사 빅히트엔터테인먼트는 "정국은 사회적 거리두기를 지키지 않은 점을 깊이 반성하고 있다"고 밝혔다.
As of Tuesday, 187 Itaewon club-related cases have been reported.
화요일 기준, 이태원 클럽 관련 확진자 수는 187명인 것으로 나타났다.
