Jungkook, the youngest member of K-pop titan BTS, is embroiled in rumors that he is dating a woman who netizens claim is a tattooist.
K팝 센세이션 방탄소년단의 막내 정국이 타투이스트로 추정되는 한 여성과 연애하고 있다는 소문에 휘말렸다.
It all started late Monday when a netizen posted CCTV footage of a man hugging a woman from behind, claiming that the man was Jungkook on Geoje Island in South Gyeongsang Province. It was later confirmed to be Jungkook.
한 네티즌이 월요일 한 여성을 뒤에서 껴안는 한 남성의 CCTV화면을 올리며, 해당 남성이 경남 거제도에 온 정국이라 주장하자 정국의 열애설이 퍼져나갔다. 논란 이후, 영상 속 남성은 정국으로 밝혀졌다.
"My friend says Jungkook visited the shop on Geoje two days ago, but turned Jungkook away because he couldn't produce any identification," the netizen wrote.
그 네티즌은 "친구가 방탄소년단 정국이 거제도의 타투샵을 이틀 전 방문했다고 말했다. 하지만 그가 신분증이 없어 돌려보냈다"고 글을 올렸다.
Big Hit Entertainment, BTS' agency, denied Jungkook was in any romantic relationship, saying it would take legal action against rumormongers.
방탄소년단의 소속사인 빅히트엔터테인먼트는 허위사실을 유포하는 사람들에게 법적조치를 취할 것임을 밝히며 정국의 열애설을 부인했다.
The agency admitted that the singer travelled around Geoje on an extended break.
소속사는 정국이 휴가차 거제도를 여행했다고 인정했다.
Online users assumed the woman who was with JK was a tattooist, after checking her Instagram account where she introduced herself as such.
네티즌들은 정국이 껴안고 있는 영상 속 여성의 인스타그램 계정을 살핀 뒤, 해당 여성이 정국의 타투이스트라고 추정했다.
The netizens first believed that the man in the footage was Korean rapper Hash Swan, but the rapper denied this.
네티즌들은 처음엔 CCTV 영상 속 남성이 해쉬스완이라고 믿었다. 하지만 해쉬스완은 해당 영상 속 남성이 본인이 아니라고 밝혔다.
Although the band's agency Big Hit denied that Jungkook is dating, some BTS fans are skeptical about the agency's announcement. "It seems weird to hug a friend from behind," a fan wrote on an online community.
소속사 빅히트엔터테인먼트가 정국의 열애설을 부인함에도 불구하고, 일부 팬들은 소속사의 발표에 의구심을 나타내고 있다. 한 팬은 "친구를 뒤에서 껴안는 건 말도 안 되는 일"이라며 온라인 커뮤니티에 글을 올렸다.
Another commented, "I cannot trust what the agency said. Everyone except me seems so generous about an idol star's physical contact with a woman."
또 다른 팬은 "소속사의 말을 믿을 수가 없다. 나만 빼고 모두가 아이돌 가수의 이성과의 신체 접촉에 관대한가 보다"고 글을 남겼다.
Others showed their unchanged love for the global phenomenon. "It doesn't matter, even if the rumor is true. Please take legal action against those who infringed on his privacy," a fan said. "The two in the footage merely seemed to be friends," another said.
다른 팬들은 세계적인 인기를 끄는 그에 대한 변치 않는 사랑을 나타냈다. 한 팬은 "소문이 사실이어도 상관없어. 그의 사생활을 침해하는 자들에게 법적 조치가 취해지길 바란다"고 말했다. 또 다른 팬은 "영상 속 둘은 그저 친구 사이로 보인다"고 주장했다.
