The official Twitter accounts of Apple, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and others were hijacked on Wednesday by scammers trying to dupe people into sending cryptocurrency bitcoin, in a massive hack.
수요일 애플, 일론 머스크, 제프 베이조스 등의 공식 트위터 계정이 대규모 해킹으로 사람들을 속여 가상화폐인 비트코인을 보내도록 한 사기범들에게 이용됐다.
"We are aware of a security incident impacting accounts on Twitter," the messaging service said in a tweet. "We are investigating and taking steps to fix it. We will update everyone shortly."
트위터 측은 트윗을 통해 "트위터 계정에 영향을 미치는 보안 사건을 인지하고 있다"며 "우리는 조사에 나섰으며 이를 고치기 위한 조치를 취하고 있다. 조만간 모두에게 알리겠다"고 말했다.
The Biden campaign told AFP that Twitter locked down the hacked account quickly and removed the bogus tweet.
바이든 선거캠프는 AFP통신에 트위터가 해킹된 계정을 빠르게 잠가 버렸고 가짜 트윗도 삭제했다고 전했다.
It appeared that Twitter had disabled the ability to tweet from validated accounts, those with the official blue checkmarks.
트위터는 공식 파란색 체크 표시가 있는 검증된 계정에서 트윗을 날리는 기능을 무력화시킨 것으로 보인다.
"You may be unable to Tweet or reset your password while we review and address this incident," Twitter's support team said in a post.
트위터 지원팀은 게시물을 통해 "우리가 이 사건을 검토하고 해결하는 동안 당신은 트윗을 남기거나 비밀번호를 재설정하지 못할 수 있다"고 전했다.
