Boy band releases new EP after leaving JYP
JYP와 계약 만료 후 새 앨범 발매

Last year, all seven members of K-pop act GOT7 terminated their contracts with JYP Entertainment, the K-pop powerhouse that debuted the group in 2014. But this was not the end of GOT7 ― instead, it was a new beginning.
지난해 K팝 그룹 갓세븐 멤버 7명은 2014년 데뷔 시 소속되었던 K팝 대형 기획사 JYP엔터테인먼트와의 전속계약이 종료되었다. 그러나 이는 갓세븐의 끝이 아니라 새로운 시작이었다.
GOT7, consisting of Mark, Jay B, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam and Yugyeom, put out its self-titled mini-album on Monday, more than a year after the release of its last EP, "Encore."
JAY B(제이비), 마크, 잭슨, 진영, 영재, 뱀뱀, 유겸으로 이루어진 갓세븐은 가장 최근 미니앨범인 '앙코르' 발매로부터 1년이 더 지난 월요일 그룹명과 동일한 미니앨범 ‘갓세븐'을 발표했다.
"Through our new release, we want to let people know that GOT7 has not disbanded," member BamBam said during a press conference at the voco Seoul Gangnam, Monday. "It is also a testament to our promise that we would soon reunite and meet our fans."
월요일 보코서울강남에서 열린 기자간담회에서 뱀뱀은 "갓세븐이 해체되지 않았음을 새 앨범을 통해 알리고 싶다"고 말했다. "조만간 다시 모여 팬분들과의 만날 거라는 우리의 약속에 대한 증거이기도 하다."
Frontman Jay B added, "I am so relieved that we can release an EP as a septet. We told each other that all seven of us should be part of our new mini-album, but it is still surreal to see that we have actually made this happen. I am truly thankful to new management companies of our members and Warner Music Korea, our album distributor."
리더 제이비는 "7번째 미니앨범을 발매하게 되어 감격스럽다. 새 미니앨범에 일곱명이 모두 참여하자고 서로 말했지만 이렇게 실현될 수 있다는게 여전히 비현실적이다. 각 멤버들 소속사와 앨범 유통사인 워너뮤직코리아에 진심으로 감사드린다"고 말했다.
Mark chimed in, saying, "Since we are happiest when we take the stage as a septet, we did not want to give this up … We are so close to each other and we love spending time together."
마크는 "일곱 명이 함께 무대에 섰을 때가 가장 행복하기 때문에 포기하고 싶지 않았다 … 우리는 서로 아주 가까운 사이기 때문에 함께 시간을 보내는 것이 좋다"고 말하며 맞장구를 쳤다.
