Transition team suggests gov't push back curfew on multiuse facilities to midnight
대통령직 인수위원회, 정부에 다중이용시설 영업시간 자정까지 연기 권고

The presidential transition committee urged the government to review lifting COVID-19 restrictions such as limits on operating hours of multiuse facilities, Wednesday, once it is determined that the current Omicron wave has passed its peak.
수요일 대통령직인수위원회는 오미크론 확진자가 감소세에 들어갔다고 판단하면 방역당국은 다중이용시설 영업시간 제한과 같은 코로나 방역 제한들을 완화하라고 주문했다.
"If the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters confirms that infections have entered a downward trend, social distancing measures should be relaxed," Shin Young-hyun, a spokeswoman of the committee, said during a briefing.
신용현 인수위 대변인은 브리핑에서 "중대본(중앙대책본부)이 판단할 때 코로나 감염이 감소세로 들어섰다고 판단이 되면 사회적 거리두기는 완화하는 것이 맞는다"고 밝혔다.
"In particular, we have recommended the government to remove limits on operating hours (of multiuse facilities), which do not seem very effective (in curbing the virus spread)," she added.
신 대변인은 "특히 (코로나 확산 방지에) 크게 효과가 없다고 인정되는 (다중이용시설의) 영업시간 제한도 폐지를 권고했다"고 밝혔다.
The committee suggested that the government extend the limit on operating hours for businesses to midnight and increase the cap on gatherings to 10 people.
인수위는 방역당국에 영업시간을 자정까지로 연장하고 사적모임을 10명까지로 한도를 늘리라고 제안했다.
Under the current distancing measures, up to eight people are allowed to hold private gatherings, while multiuse facilities such as cafes and eateries may receive sit-in customers until 11 p.m.
현재 거리두기 방침에 따르면 사적모임은 8명까지인 한편 카페나 식당 같은 다중이용시설은 밤 11시까지만 착석 손님을 받도록 허용되어 있다.
As these measures are set to end on April 2, the health ministry will announce the next set of measures on Friday.
이러한 조치들이 4월 2일에 끝날 예정이라 보건복지부는 금요일에 다음 거리두기 조치를 발표할 예정이다.
