Billionaire CEO Elon Musk said on Saturday the price of bitcoin and ethereum seemed high, at a time when the cryptocurrencies have hit record highs, with bitcoin crossing the $1 trillion market-capitalization threshold.
토요일 비트코인이 시가총액 1조 달러 문턱을 넘어서는 등 암호화폐들이 사상 최고치를 기록하는 상황에서 억만장자 CEO인 일론 머스크는 비트코인과 이더리움의 가격이 높아 보인다고 언급했다.
The chief executive of Tesla Inc, whose recent tweets have fueled the digital-currency rally, made the remark on Twitter while replying to a user who said that gold was better than both bitcoin and conventional cash.
디지털 화폐 상승 랠리를 부추긴 테슬라의 CEO인 그는 "금이 비트코인과 종래의 현금보다 낫다"는 한 트위터 이용자에게 답하며 이처럼 말했다.
Musk, who earlier in the week remarked that he found the prospect of holding bitcoin adventurous for an SP 500 company, said in a tweet: "Money is just data that allows us to avoid the inconvenience of barter ..."
"돈은 물물교환의 불편함을 피할 수 있는 데이터일 뿐"이라고 트윗을 올린 머스크는 이번주초 "스탠더드 앤드 푸어스(S&P) 500 상장 기업인 테슬라가 가상화폐를 소유하는 것은 충분히 모험적"이라며 옹호하기도 했다.
"That said, BTC ETH do seem high lol," he added.
