KB Financial Group Chairman Yang Jong-hee vowed to lead the digital finance ecosystem with generative artificial intelligence (AI) that pursues human happiness.
According to the financial group on Monday, Yang made the remarks while emphasizing the AI-driven digital transformation at the KB Tech Forum held last Friday at KB Kookmin Bank headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul.
The event, which was launched in October 2021 and is now in its sixth edition, is a gathering where all employees responsible for information technology and digital operations across the group’s subsidiaries share updates and achievements related to the advanced technology projects that the group is pursuing.
This year’s forum was attended by over 200 employees from the AI, data and digital sectors of KB subsidiaries, as well as those from partner companies such as Samsung SDS and IBM.
“I hope this forum will serve as an opportunity for collaboration and growth, expanding the application areas of AI and digital technologies, and collectively designing the future of the new financial ecosystem,” Yang said.
A group official noted that the way developers work has become more efficient thanks to tools like KB-Coder, which presents a Q&A related to development in a chat interface format.
“KB Financial will actively utilize the latest digital technologies, including generative AI, which has become a core element in the financial business, to lead the transformation into a digital financial ecosystem,” the official said.
