Shinhan Card's mobile platform PayFAN has connected with Amazon.com, enabling its customers to use and surf the e-commerce giant's site in Korean, the credit card company said Friday.
When Shinhan Card's local users access Amazon via PayFAN, they will automatically see the site's Korean language version. They do not need to click Amazon's language key.
The company said it developed the function with Amazon amid an increase in direct overseas online purchases and to reduce the inconvenience of browsing in another language.
Shinhan Card will further improve its PayFAN language service and forge alliances with global companies in electronic payments, the company said.
"We will seek to partner with global companies in various fields to enhance our platform experience," a Shinhan Card spokesman said.
Shinhan Card also has a strategic partnership with PayPal, one of the first online payment services in the United States.
