Rapper Dok2 is to leave his luxurious 430-square-meter hotel penthouse residence in Seoul and head to U.S.
The bill for a night at hotel was close to 7 million won ($6,300).
”I am moving now. I think moving it is the most demanding thing to do on earth,” wrote the rapper, 28, on his Instagram Friday.
He added, “Next year, I will reach my turning point as I become 30. As can be inferred from the track 'Cali Shine,' I will begin living in U.S. by the end of this year. This has been my dream since I was young.”
The rapper and veteran singer Kim Bum-soo released “Cali Shine” in August.
Dok2, real name Lee Joon-kyung, also disclosed that his studio and some luggage would remain in Korea.
“I will stage gigs and meet fans in Korea, so please do not worry,” he said him. “I frequently visit the U.S. even now, so there will be only a minor change.”
Dok2 was first known to the public after composing the music “Circus” for the Dynamic Duo in 2005. He has amassed his wealth through more than 300 songs.
