Seolhyun, a member of K-pop girl band AOA, has become the sixth singer to join the “Honor Society,” a club of charitable people who have donated over 100 million won ($88,800) to the Community Chest of Korea (CCK).

According to CCK, she donated 50 million won to the organization on Thursday to support childcare facilities. She made a donation of the same amount on Nov. 29 to help children from low-income families.

“I can't help but care about younger people who have been under a tough environment,” said Seolhyun via the organization. “I am glad to relay the love I got from those who have helped me.”

The Honor Society was established in 2007 by the Community Chest of Korea to promote donation and spread donation culture.

As of Dec. 20, Honor Society has 1,990 members nationwide, including six singers ― veteran singer Hyun Sook, Insooni, Ha Chun-hwa, Yoona from Girls' Generation and singer/actor Suzy.

Seolhyun debuted as a member of AOA in 2012 with the album "Angels' Story,” and has been actively forging her career as a singer and an actress.
