Hyundai E&C has started selling its new premium apartments in southern Seoul, anticipating it to be a landmark in the region, bustling with new apartment town projects and a subway network.
Hillstate Gwanak Centciel is being constructed in the Bongcheon area in Gwanak District. With nine 31-storey buildings including three underground floors, the town has a total of 997 suites. Fitness, indoor golf screens, a sauna, a cafe and an indoor playground for children comprise the new town's public facilities.
Hyundai fronts the new town's location as one of its biggest merits. According to the Gwanak District Office, other new large-scale apartment town projects and apartment redevelopment projects are planned in the same neighborhood. With four new planned residential towns ranging in size from over 850, 3,500, 3,300 and 480 suites each, about 9,000 households altogether will start living in Bongcheon and nearby areas in a few years.
Hyundai said Centciel will be the center of the upcoming residential zone.
There are schools, urban forests, supermarkets, a department store and hospitals in the vicinity of the development.
Subway access is another of Centciel's key conveniences, according to the company. Bongcheon Station and Soongsil University Station are both situated within 1.2 kilometers of the complex.
Centciel has another potential public transit plus point in that it will benefit from the forthcoming new subway network. The Seoul city government last August announced it plans to build a new light-rail subway that connects northwestern and southwestern Seoul with 16 stations.
The construction is expected to begin later this year and be completed in 2029. Once finished, the new network will provide transfer points to five different subway lines, improving convenience for commuters from the new town.
Centciel is the first apartment town Hyundai has built in Gwanak District in 23 years. Hillstate, the company's leading upmarket apartment brand, has maintained the No. 1 position in apartment brand popularity among the country's construction firms for the past 54 months, according to the company. A model house for the Centciel apartments opened on Sept. 22 and began sales in lots. New residents will be able to move in around early 2025.
