    SK Telecom unveils blockchain blueprint
    SK Telecom will launch a new asset management platform powered by blockchain technology in a bid to increase customer convenience. Oh Se-hyeon, executive vice president at SK Telecom's blockchain business unit, said Tuesday the mobile carrier will look into a new kind of transaction platform with blockchain technology. She added the payments system will be its own platform.

    SK hynix sees operating profit jump 77% in first quarter
    SK hynix posted a 77 percent increase in first-quarter operating profit compared with a year earlier, the memory chip maker said Tuesday. Increasing demand for memory chips led to 8.72 trillion won ($8.11 billion) in revenue, 4.37 trillion won in operating profit and 3.12 trillion won in net income, the company said.
