South Korean cross-country skier Lee Chae-won finished 51st in the women's 10km free competition at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, Thursday.

Lee finished her race in 28 minutes, 22.37.5 seconds at Alpensia Cross-Country Skiing Center in the Gangwon Province city.

Norway's Ragnhild Haga won gold, recording 25 minutes and 0.5 seconds. Charlotte Kalla of Sweden claimed silver with 25 minutes and 20.8 seconds. Norway's Marit Bjoergen Finland's Krista Parmakoski tied for bronze, recording 25 minutes and 32.4 seconds.

The oldest South Korean athlete at the PyeongChang Olympics, Lee, 36, won two silver and a bronze at the 2017 Sapporo Winter Asian Games. She finished 57th in the women's skiathlon event on Saturday.

PyeongChang Olympics is Lee's fifth and final Olympic competition as an athlete.

Ju Hye-ri, another South Korean competing in Thursday's event, came in 79th, clocking 31 minutes 27.1 seconds. In the women's sprint classic qualification on Tuesday, Ju came in at 67th.

North Korea's Ri Yong-gum finished 89th in Thursday's event, second from the last.
