Weightlifter, shooter going for back-to-back gold medals

Female weightlifter Jang Mi-ran, the defending Olympic champion in the women's over-75-kilogram class, is competing in her last Summer Games. She has had an up-and-down stretch since Beijing and isn't the prohibitive favorite she was four years ago. Still, the 28-year-old will try to go out on a winning note against China's Zhou Lulu and Russia's Tatiana Kashirina.

Jin Jong-oh, who grabbed the country's first gold here in the men's 20-meter air pistol, will be chasing another gold in the 50m pistol Sunday. He is the defending gold medalist in that event.

The following is the list of events for South Korean athletes on Sunday. All times are local.
