Korean footballers defeated Senegal 3-0 Friday in final Olympic tune-up, signalling a good start at the Olympics.
The U-23 team led by manager Hong Myung-bo literally finished in the first half the friendly game held at Stevenage Lamex Stadium in England.
Ki Sung-yueng (Celtic) scored the first goal in the third minute, followed by Park Ju-young’s (Arsenal) second goal in the sixth minute and Koo Ja-cheol (FC Ausburg) added the third goal in the 32nd minute.
The team departed to Newcastle to prepare for the first match against Mexico scheduled Thursday.
