Three down, one to go.

South Korea won another taekwondo gold medal at the Beijing Olympics Friday.

Hwang Kyung-seon defeated Canada's Karine Sergerie 2-1 in the women's under 67-kilogram final to bring home Korea's third gold in the sport, following two from Son Tae-jin and Lim Su-jeong Thursday.

Hwang's gold medal is Korea's 11th overall at the Beijing Games.

Hwang, a two-time reigning world champion, trailed 1-0 in the first round against Sergerie, who topped the world championships in the under 63-kilogram division last year. But the 22-year-old Korean tied it 1-1 on her round kick in the second.

Hwang then landed a back kick on the opponent's chest with 34 seconds left in the final period to score the winning point.

The victory gave Hwang the second Olympic medal of her career to go with a bronze she won at the 2004 Athens Games.

South Korea's only remaining taekwondo fighter, Cha Dong-min, will compete in the men's over 80-kilogram class on Saturday. A gold medal by Cha would make Korea 4 for 4 in taekwondo, giving it the maximum number of golds a country can possibly win in the sport.
