The Kia Tigers Saturday retook the Korean Series baseball after a 12-year hiatus thanks to a game-ending home run by Na Ji-wan.
During Game 7 of the best-of-seven Korean Series at Jamsil Stadium, Na belted a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning, leading Kia to a 6-5 come-from-behind victory over the SK Wyverns.
This was the first time in 12 years that the Tigers won the Korean Series. It was the team's 10th series victory.
Na, who hit two homers in the seventh game, was named the most valuable player of the Korean Series by earning 41 out of 61 votes cast by sports journalists.
On Friday, SK bounced back to grab a 3-2 victory, forcing the series to Game 7.
