N. Korea's special envoy Choe Ryong-hae meets Chinese president

Choe Ryong-hae, a special envoy from North Korea to China, Friday met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, Xihwha wire service said.

During the meeting, Choe delivered a personal letter from North Korean leader Kim Jong-un who has been working overtime to improve ties with China, South Korea and the United States.

Choe, who is in charge of political affairs, arrived on a chartered plane for a three-day visit and met with a number of senior Chinese officials.

He said in numerous meetings that North Korea is prepared to engage in dialogue with parties of interest, meaning the United States and South Korea.
