Hollywood film portrays N. Korea’s invasion of mainland US
“Red Dawn,” a Hollywood film portraying North Korea’s invasion of the mainland U.S., will screen on the occasion of Thanksgiving Day in November, film industry sources said Monday.
The film is a remake of “Red Dawn,” a 1984 Cold War movie directed by John Frederick Milius. The remake was directed by Dan Bradley. He has worked on Independence Day, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3, The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, Superman Returns, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Where The Wild Things Are, Quantum of Solace, and recently, Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol. It stars Tom Cruise and Connor Cruise, an adopted son of Nicole Kidman. In the original version, an alliance of Cuba and the former Soviet Union invades Colorado. The remake film begins with scenes in which North Korean troops attack a small city in the northwestern U.S. state of Washington. |
