No desired results from rocket launch

Dear editor,

North Korea’s recent failed rocket launch could not bring any desired results in both ground and political fields. North Korea will face further sanctions and tough instance of world community. The United States has already stopped its food aid program and even North Korea’s closest ally China is not happy and warned of consequences of the recent launch.

The true reality is that North Korea is facing tough challenges after the death of its leader Kim Jong-il. His death has also created a big gap in North Korean politics.

The North has worse relations with the West and the country is facing the worst foreign pressure on its controversial nuclear program.

It’s the right time for the country to rethink its policies with the rest of the world. Due to aggressive polices of the former Kim regime North Korea has been isolated in the world community and poor people of the country are suffering badly. Due to the worst economic conditions poor people find it hard to provide daily necessities of life for their families.

The country has the worst relations with its close neighbor South Korea and is on the brink of war with South Korea. Despite growing poverty, North Korea’s military spending is very high. The country’s powerful military is still controlling all the country’s resources.

North Koreans still don’t have any freedom of speech. Internet access is not allowed and political activities are very rare. Kim Jong-il nominated his son as his successor but the country is facing tough challenges on economic, political and foreign fronts.
