English educators, applied linguists, and scholars are invited to submit presentation proposals for the 25th annual KOTESOL International Conference.

KOTESOL, the Korean branch of Korea Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), will hold its conference in conjunction with the Pan-Asian Consortium of Language Teaching Societies (PAC) at Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul on Oct. 21 to 22.

The KOTESOL international Conference typically attracts over 1,000 attendees from Korea, across Asia and abroad.

The conference is regarded as a great venue for English educators, applied linguists, and scholars to present their expertise, share ideas, discuss experiences, and inspire others.

“It’s a broad audience. Come, enjoy yourself and talk about your interests. The conference provides dozens of ways to think about the teaching-learning process, practically and theoretically. It feels good to have your work discussed among your peers,” former presenter Stewart Gray said.

This year’s conference theme is “Why Are We Here? Analogue Learning in a Digital Era.”

“The theme is intended to explore the relevance of face-to-face learning when technological advances have made it possible to create online and distance-learning options,” KOTESOL says on its webpage.

“Korea TESOL also welcomes proposals on a wide array of English language teaching (ELT) and English language learning (ELL) topics. One specific series includes the prefix “101” and features sessions intended for participants who are new to the ELT community. While considering topics, presenters also have a variety of formats to choose from: workshops, panels, and research presentations are a few of the options available.”

The deadline for presentation proposals is May 31.
