Thousands turn out to greet Song Joong-ki

Song Joong-ki, the star of the Korean mega-hit drama “Descendants of the Sun,” has met 6,500 fans in Wuhan, China, on the fourth stop of his Asian tour.

While answering questions, Song talked about his friendship with Lee Kwang-soo, a Korean actor and host of the popular TV program “Running Man.” He said jokingly: “If I did not become an actor, I would have been the manager of Lee.”

The two actors met when they were starring in “Running Man” in 2010.

After Lee had a cameo appearance in the first episode of “Descendants of the Sun” in February, Song decided to make a special appearance in Lee’s web drama, “Sound of Heart,” to support his friend.

The drama is set to air on KBS 2TV in fall.
