College lecturer says violent sex is in men’s nature
A course on gender bias at Hanyang University which was closed down due to controversy came back to life in less than a year with a different name, creating another set of controversy and forcing the administration to change the lecturer.
According to women communities, the Ansan campus of Hanyang University introduced a “Human Sexuality” lectured by a Kim. Kim had been lecturing on “understanding sex” for over 10 years and told students to submit reports on sexual activities. He also said in his lectures that aggressive sex is part of men’s nature, inviting harsh criticism from students. A spokesperson from a women’s group said, “The contents of the lectures are centered on male-superiority and not appropriate for college education.” They insisted that the lectures be stopped immediately. On the part of the university, there have been strings of complaints on social network services like Twitter. The president of the student body is currently conducting investigations on the contents of the lectures to determine their impropriety. |
