The knowledge star is the element that the day stem gets its energy from. It rules one's opinions and makes a person carefully plan for success. People with the knowledge star achieve success owing to their talent and help from others.

Instead of making the move itself, it lets others do so; the knowledge star is lazy. And both the knowledge star and the expression star are greedy. While the expression star may give up when it comes to a certain level, the knowledge star cannot quench its desire.

The knowledge star means learning, scholarship and documents, such as real estate contracts. Profits can be academic degrees, honor, business contracts or gains from investments and prizes. As it controls honor, it's also concerned with its dignity, can't stand dishonor and never forgives others who hurt its pride.

The knowledge star nourishes the day stem. In the circulation of the five elements (woodafireaearthametalawater), if the day stem is fire, for example, the knowledge star is the wood element.

― great talents and various hobbies but lacks consistency and may have inconsistent end results
― lacks mother's love; as for women, doesn't have good relationship with children

Here is the saju of a man who was born in 1946 (the year of the dog, byeong-sul). He is Donald J. Trump, a real estate titan, best-selling author and TV impresario. As his saju itself tells us, he was born with the earth energy.

Earth, as we learned, balances the other elements ― wood, fire, metal and water. Among them, earth is the most harmonious and contains all five elements within it. Earth, which can be described as land, field or ground, contains the ingredients and nurtures the other materials or living creatures including plants, as if it were a mother.

Such strong earth energy in his saju made him a real estate titan, which is too much of a logical leap.

His day master gi, as he was born in the 5th month of the lunar calendar, when the land is busy with growing and gets a lot of energy from the knowledge star. He is a man of great self-respect. If you have known him just as a businessman, your impression is only partly right. He values his honor and reputation more than his money. Everyone has his or her own way to get rich and we know if someone pursues money by looking at their saju.

On the other hand, if anyone attempts to ruin his reputation, he would never forgive him or her.

His career star (gap, sons and daughters) is burning by the fire (o) energy in the branches, which suggests aspects of his family history. As stated in previous columns, there are compatibilities between two specific stems so that their energies may easily combine and associate each other. Gap/wood is compatible with gi/earth to convert to earth energy, whereby we may read that it looks splendidly on its surface, with extensive land to take root and sun shining on it, but has sorrow in its internal base. As such, it survives by compatibility with its father. His wood ― his sons and daughters ― lack water energy, which is their mother.

By observing his saju, one sees he's like an impregnable fortress whatever trials he endures.
