W100 million lawsuit for exposing part of a breast

Broadcaster SBS was sued by a woman for having a hard time after mistakenly exposing part of her breast on its TV news program.

The 29-year-old woman said she severely suffered from mental and emotional stress ever since her breast was partially seen on TV when SBS reported on a crowd enjoying their vacation at a beach in late July.

She filed a compensation lawsuit of 100 million won against SBS with the Seoul Central District Court.

SBS confessed it was a mistake and apologized to the public for causing any stress.

29살 김 모 씨는 지난 7월 말 SBS가 해수욕장 피서 인파의 모습을 보도하면서 자신의 가슴이 일부 노출된 장면을 방송해 커다란 정신적 피해를 입었다며 서울중앙지방법원에 소송을 냈습니다.

앞서 SBS는 방송 뒤 인터넷 등에서 논란이 일자 지역 방송사가 제공한 영상을 방송하는 과정에서 발생한 실수라며 시청자들에게 염려를 끼쳐 사과한다는 입장을 밝혔습니다.
