Health, Welfare and Family Affairs Minister Jeon Jae-hee will discuss ways to prevent and contain the spread of Influenza A (H1N1) during her meeting with her Japanese and Chinese counterparts Monday and Tuesday in Tokyo, according to the Ministry.
Jeon will discuss possible joint measures against the virus, including clinical research.
She will also discuss possible governmental policies to fight low birthrates and the so-called silver industry with Japanese Health Minister Akira Nagatsuma.
The meeting is the third of its kind after meetings in Seoul in 2007 and in Beijing last year. The fourth meeting will be held in Seoul next year.
