An employee of a "dog kindergarten" training facility has been booked for hurting his dog, Bucheon Wonmi police said on Saturday.
The man, 25, allegedly attacked his Siberian husky around 2 p.m. Thursday.
His actions caused public uproar after a video of the attack, allegedly taken by a neighbor, was spread through social media.
"I hit my dog during the course of restraining him from biting other customers' dogs," the man said.
But the video showed the man hurling the dog against a wall and kicking it. Netizens said he should be severely punished for his actions.
Police took the dog to a veterinary hospital for treatment.
