The festival, at the Busan Cinema Center, will continue for four days.
BFFF will feature 13 food films, talks with chefs and food columnists, and seminars about local traditional dishes.
The festival will also operate a truck offering food from the films. Busan's leading chefs will also operate a food zone.
The opening film will be Charlie Chaplin's "Modern Times."
