Authorities say that Angela Stoldt, 42, strangled her 36-year-old victim, James Sheaffer, to death. She attempted to cremate his body by dismembering it and putting body parts into the oven, as well as into pots on the stove. However, this did not work, and she ended up throwing the parts into the trash.
Stoldt had a platonic relationship with the victim and relied on him for money, AP reported. Her motivation for the murder was money, authorities said.
Stoldt was convicted of first-degree murder despite her claim that she killed the man in self-defense.
