The city of Belfast, Ireland warned citizens this week not to eat any of the thousands of mackerel that apparently spilled out of a truck this week.
The Associated Press (AP) reported that the people scooped up the fish, which were scattered along a busy road. The fish apparently fell out of the back of a delivery truck.
Tommy Bardsley, 61, said he took home 25 mackerel, AP reported. "I know fish," he was quoted as saying.
It remained unclear where the fish came from. The council warned that the mackerel could be contaminated.
