Social enterprises mix business solutions with creative ideas to change lives and better the environment.

Some of these enterprises make consumer products by reusing non-recyclable consumer waste, and others help elderly and disadvantaged people to develop and execute entrepreneurial projects.

But even though such enterprises operate with the intention to solve social problems, without any profits they will be wiped out, just like any other business.

And to help South Korean social enterprises grow and become more relevant to customers, The Korea Institute of Design Promotion supports programs that aim to help them improve profitability through better product and service design plans.
