The top executives of Korea's four major business conglomerates converged on Monday at the wedding ceremony of the eldest daughter of Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Euisun.
Chung Jin-hee, the daughter of Chung, and Kim Ji-ho, the grandson of former Education Minister Kim Duk-choong, tied the knot at Chungdong First Methodist Church in central Seoul. The Hyundai Motor chief and his wife got married at the same church 27 years ago.
The venue was filled with a number of high-profile guests from the country's largest companies, including Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong, Samsung Welfare Foundation chief Lee Seo-hyun, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, SK Group Senior Vice Chairman Chey Jae-won, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo and Doosan Group Chairman Park Jeong-won.

Other guests from Hyundai Group and its subsidiaries included Chairwoman Hyun Jeong-eun, Asan Foundation Chairman Chung Mong-joon, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance Chairman Chung Mong-yoon, Hyundai Development Company Chairman Chung Mong-gyu, Hyundai Corporation Chairman Chung Mong-hyuck, Hyundai Department Store Chairman Chung Ji-sun and Hyundai Heavy Industries Group CEO Chung Ki-sun.
The newlyweds met while studying in the United States.
The bride, who graduated from Wellesley College, worked at Roland Berger, a consulting firm headquartered in Munich, Germany before moving on to her current position at an overseas branch of Hyundai Motor.
The groom earned his bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and received a master's degree in education policy from Harvard University. His grandfather, the older brother of late Daewoo Group founder Kim Woo-choong, served as the president of Ajou University in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, before being appointed as education minister in 1999 during the Kim Dae-jung administration.
