Former 2NE1 member Sandara Park's first movie, "One Step," opens here next month. It is the Korean version of the Oscar-nominated "Begin Again."
The movie is about a girl who works part-time at a convenience store. She is seeking out a mysterious melody she hears in her dreams and an internet program producer tries to help her.
"Sandara is one of the best rookie actors I've seen," said Jun Jae-hong, the film's director. "She was quick at memorizing lines and made little to no mistakes."
He said he wanted Park to do more acting than singing.
The movie, which opens on Apr. 6, also features Han Jae-suk, Cho Dong-in and Hong Ah-reum.
