Checkerboard clothing is considered a classic staple in fashion, yet it can be trendy also. Even simple and seemingly dull designs seem to come alive with a checkered pattern. It's been a popular choice for several Korean stars, and has featured in dresses for women and suits for men.
It was a look sported by Jennie from BLACKPINK on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival, after being invited to the event for her role in the HBO series, "The Idol." Jennie recently shared photos and videos of herself on social media wearing a checkered vest, which she paired with a side-slit skirt to create a sophisticated look.
