Singer-songwriter John Park has been admitted to an isolation facility after he tested positive for COVID-19.

The artist's label Music Farm shared the news on its social media account Monday, saying that he "was confirmed to have the virus on Jan. 15."

It added that Park was asymptomatic and is now in a facility as instructed by the health authorities.

"All staff members who may possibly have come into contact (with the artist) have taken necessary measures and received testing," it said. "We apologize for causing concern."

The artist was scheduled to shoot an episode of the show in which he is starring ― tvN's variety show "Naked World History" ― that day.

Park notified the show's production team a day before that "he does not feel good and is going to get tested for COVID-19." He canceled the schedule when his results came out.

The show, formerly hosted by the celebrity lecturer Seol Min-seok, covers different periods of history in places all over the world. It halted production until last week after Seol was dismissed last month following the accusations that he plagiarized his dissertation for his master's degree in history.

The network picked up production again after changing its format to allow different lecturers to cover each topic.
