Singer-cum-composer A.TONE helped catch an American English teacher, who allegedly attempted to sexually assault a woman in Mapo-gu, western Seoul, on Nov. 30.

A.TONE discovered the American allegedly attempting to sexually assault a woman in her 20s in a residential area in Mapo-gu, after hearing her scream, according to Seoul Mapo Police Station, Sunday. The man tried to flee, but A.TONE caught and wrestled him until the police arrived and apprehended him.

Police booked the man in his 30s on suspicion of attempted rape. He was reportedly intoxicated, and has been denying the allegation.

After the singer-cum-composer made headlines for his courageous action, he conveyed his thoughts and feelings on Instagram, Monday.

"I just did what I should have done. Anybody would have done the same if they had been me," he wrote. "I apologize to the alleged victim for not helping her faster and hope she can get back into the swing of things soon. I also hope for a righteous verdict."

A.TONE appeared on Mnet's music game show "I Can See Your Voice" in March.
